Orange Maple Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

What You’ll Need

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 6-8 orange peels
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup 
  • 1 tsp vanilla 
  • 1/4 tsp salt 

What You’ll Do

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, add the brown sugar, water, orange juice, orange peels, maple syrup, vanilla and salt
  2. Gently simmer until all sugar is dissolved
  3. Strain simple syrup into an air-tight container to cool in the fridge for at least 3 hours, or overnight

  2. Pour in 1 to 2 ounces of simple syrup depending on your preferred sweetness.
